Kolby is a CA licensed speech-language pathologist, a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, as well as a member of the California Speech-Language and Hearing Association.  Kolby has 15 years of education and clinical experience treating children in the Early Intervention through 6th grade range.  She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She began her communication disorder experience working in the Tulsa Scottish Rite, RiteCare Childhood Language Clinic, working with children 1½ to 11 years of age. Kolby later worked in Texas at an Early Intervention Preschool, specializing in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, apraxia of speech, and articulation and language disorders.  In 2006 Kolby relocated to California as a speech-language pathologist in the Cardiff School District, treating a variety of students from 2nd to 6th grade with disorders in articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics.  Kolby worked in the Cardiff School District for 6 years.  During her experience in the Cardiff School District, Kolby was involved in discussing medical and developmental case histories as part of an interdisciplinary team.  Because of her school-based experience, Kolby also has the specific expertise in helping parents understand the IEP process. 

Kolby believes there is no better feeling than helping a child achieve his/her communicative goals while having fun.  She has always had a strong interest and desire to work with children.  Before and during college, she also worked as a nanny and a teacher’s assistant. Easily establishing trust and connection to facilitate cooperation and fun is one of Kolby's special gifts with children. Kolby’s upbeat personality, her strong educational background, her years of experience treating children with a variety of disabilities, and her ability to connect with both children and parents makes her an outstanding speech-language pathologist!

 Kolby Kail M.S.CCC-SLP

Jayne is a CA credentialed speech-language pathologist, a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, as well as a member of the California Speech-Language and Hearing Association.  Jayne has 38 years of educational and clinical experience treating children in the Early Intervention through high school grade range.  She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the Humboldt State University, California. and her bachelors degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from San Diego State University. She began her communication disorder experience working in the San Diego City Schools.  Followed by elementary school experience in Del Mar, Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe,  Cardiff School District, and high school experience at San Dieguito High School District.    With her vast experience in public education, Jayne has specific experience in guiding families through the IEP process.  She is knowledgeable in all speech and language assessments, providing specific recommendations, goals, and therapy techniques to meet the vast needs of children with speech and language needs.  She has considerable background in therapeutic techniques to meet the needs of each individual.  Her strengths include literature based receptive and expressive language therapies for preschool age children.  Adaptive articulation therapies to assist children with motor-speech disorders and social-pragmatic techniques for preschool children through high school.

Jayne has a strong commitment to meeting the needs of all children.  Her career has centered on developing and engaging young children in meeting their communication goals in a fun, creative, and compassionate manner.  She has enjoyed being a part of the children’s changes in how they communicate with others and the strength they gain in this journey.
